FPG is Hiring a Territory Sales Manager Near Reno, NV

Our client is a 38-year-old manufacturer and distributor of superior quality equipment and consumables for metallographic sample preparation and analysis. Currently seeking an outside territory sales manager for the Midwest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, developing, and supporting equipment and consumables sales in a multi-state territory: CA, NV, OR, WA
The customer base consists of aerospace, higher-ed, government and research laboratories among many others. The Territory Sales Manager will call on Quality Managers, Engineers, Technicians, Professors, and Students that are responsible for preparing inorganic specimens for microscopic evaluation.
The successful individual will be responsible for supporting customers at all levels pre and post sales, application support, equipment and consumables demonstrations, and support for optical microscopes, image analysis software and hardness testers.
  • SALES: prospecting, cold-calling, networking to identify new clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities among new and existing customers.
  • RETENTION: Manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationship with clients.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
SKILLS EXPERTISE:
  • Proven success in sales. Required
  • B2B or territory sales background. Required
  • Willingness ability to travel 50%. Required
  • Technically Savvy with basic office tech such as CRM, outlook, zoom/teams, excel (sorting filters) required.
  • Mechanical Aptitude required.
  • Experience or knowledge on selling semiconductors is a PLUS.
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) experience is a PLUS.
  • Industry background NOT required but the right individual will be HUNGRY TO LEARN A NEW INDUSTRY focused on Tech Engineering.
  • Based in the territory- preferably in CA, NV, OR, WA.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
